The Department of Clinical Research (DCR) was started in 1994. Through its interaction with the Fundación de Investigaciones Metabólicas (F.I.M.) and international pharmaceutical laboratories, the DCR carries out research protocols on phase II, III and IV drugs administered to outpatients.
For IDIM staff, doing research is synonymous with commitment. With a historical population of almost 10,000 patients participating in our protocols, we have reached high levels of enrollment and very low drop-out rates in the studies we have conducted, including those studies carried out for long periods of time. We are mainly involved in the following areas: metabolism, nutrition, lipids, osteology, diabetes mellitus, rheumatology.
Other research lines: gynecology and climacterium.
